Who we are

Power Ahead Colorado is a program run by the Denver Regional Council of Governments. In 2024, DRCOG received nearly $200 million in federal funding to help cut air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. That funding is being used to improve homes and buildings across the Denver metro area by making them healthier, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient. We do this with a focus on helping low-income households and communities that have often been left out of these kinds of investments.

The Denver Regional Council of Governments is a planning organization where local governments collaborate to establish guidelines, set policy and allocate funding in the areas of transportation, personal mobility, growth and development, and aging and disability resources.

Creating workforce pathways

Colorado's clean-energy future needs skilled hands! Power Ahead Colorado will open five Green Workforce Hubs and launch three new heat pump training programs to help close the trades labor gap. Ready to build a better Colorado and grow a career with purpose? In spring 2026, you can stop by a Green Workforce Hub and chat with a Green Career Navigator to get started.
