Eligibility requirements
Projects must:
- Be in a municipality or county that participates in DRCOG
- Be a retrofit project in an existing building—new construction is ineligible
- Fall within one of the following property types:
- Single-family homes (including mobile and manufactured homes)
- Multi-family buildings
- Commercial buildings
- Be completed by an approved contractor with a Power Ahead Colorado badge listed on our Contractor Finder
- Be submitted by the contractor to Power Ahead Colorado before work begins
Rebate cannot be combined with rebates provided through the Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program (HEAR/HER). Rebate may be combined with utility or municipal rebates/incentives. Check with program administrators for other utility or municipal programs to confirm any program requirements separate from the Power Ahead Colorado program.
Eligible Equipment
To qualify, cold climate air source heat pump equipment must be new and listed on the program Qualified Products List or meet ENERGY STAR cold climate air source heat pump efficiency requirements at the time of purchase.
