Our Purpose
The Electrification Workforce Network exists to:
- Strengthen the pipeline of skilled workers needed to meet Colorado’s electrification and climate goals.
- Align training, job placement, and employer needs across the workforce ecosystem.
- Prioritize equity and job quality, ensuring opportunities are accessible, supportive, and representative of the communities they serve.
- Accelerate collaboration between public agencies, community organizations, labor partners, educators, and employers.
EWN brings these efforts together under one coordinated network, so Colorado can build the workforce needed for a clean, electrified future.
Who We Serve
The Electrification Workforce Network (EWN) was created to support the people and communities most impacted by Colorado’s transition to beneficial electrification. Our work centers on strengthening the talent pipeline, improving job access, and ensuring that underrepresented workers have real opportunities to thrive in high-quality electrification careers.
What is Beneficial Electrification?
Beneficial electrification involves reducing direct fossil fuel use in a way that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and keeps costs as low as possible. Upgrading to beneficial electrification technologies improves community infrastructure and creates quality jobs. Because of unprecedented investment in beneficial electrification in Colorado, these jobs are in high demand.
Key Populations We Support
We believe there’s no wrong door into a trades career. That’s really why we started this network: to open more of those doors. Through collaboration, we’re connecting the dots between employers, educators, and community groups. In the end, our goal is to make this industry easier to navigate—so that access and opportunity reach every corner of Colorado.
